Sharing Stelo Biosensors with Someone Else

You can give your Stelo biosensors to someone else, like a family member or friend, as long as the recipient meets Stelo's usage requirements.

Who can use Stelo biosensors

Stelo is designed for specific users. The person receiving Stelo must meet all of these requirements:

✓ Can use Stelo:

18 years or older
Not taking insulin

✗ Cannot use Stelo:

Under 18 years old
Taking insulin (any type)
Have problematic hypoglycemia
On dialysis

Important guidelines for sharing

Each biosensor is for one person only

Once a sensor is applied to someone's skin, it should not be removed and used by another person. Each sensor is designed for a single 15-day session on one person.

Each person needs their own app setup

The person receiving your sensors will need:

Their own Dexcom/Stelo account
Their own Levels app account
To pair each sensor to their own smartphone

Before giving sensors to someone else

Make sure the recipient understands:

How to properly apply the sensor
Stelo's safety information and usage guidelines
That they should consult their healthcare provider before making any medical decisions based on sensor readings
