About the Dexcom G7
The Dexcom G7 is the smallest all-in-one Dexcom sensor that contains both the sensor and transmitter in a single unit.
- Sensor Life: The Dexcom G7 sensors last for 10 days each. You will receive three 10-day sensors per shipment in your Levels kit, providing you with 30 days of glucose tracking.
- Data Transmission: The Dexcom G7 sensor calculates a glucose value every 5 minutes and transmits that data via Bluetooth to your mobile device in real-time. You'll need to keep the Dexcom G7 app on and open on your phone and within 20 feet of your sensor to receive data.
- Sensor Data Storage: The Dexcom G7 can hold up to 24 hours of your most recent glucose data when the Bluetooth signal is weak or disrupted.
- Calibration: The Dexcom G7 is factory calibrated and does not require manual calibration. However, it does allow for manual calibration by using a manual finger-prick glucometer reading to calibrate the sensor. You can view more information on testing Dexcom's accuracy here: How to Test the Accuracy of your Dexcom.
- Warm-up period: The sensor will take 30 minutes to warm up after application before it will begin reading glucose data.
- Size: The Dexcom G7 sensor is round in shape and is W: 1.07” x L: 0.94”
