How To Connect Stelo to Levels For Sensors Obtained Elsewhere

FAQ:

  • How do I connect Stelo to Levels using my own biosensor?
  • Can I connect a Stelo biosensor obtained elsewhere to Levels?

Answer:

Levels offers the ability to bring your own Stelo biosensor. With this option, members will be able to sync their glucose data from the Stelo app to Levels via Apple Healthkit.

⚠️ Please note: This option has a 3-hour data delay from the Stelo app to the Levels app.

To connect a biosensor obtained elsewhere, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Levels app.
  2. Tap the More tab
  3. Navigate to the Devices page
  4. Click Manage and then Choose Sensor Type.
  5. Select Stelo → Apple Health
  6. Next, go back to the Today screen, and you should be prompted to connect your Levels app to Apple Health or Health Connect.
    1. If you do not see a prompt, please click on the More tab, navigate to Settings, and tap the Connect button next to Apple Health (more information here).
  7. Once your Levels app is successfully connected to Apple Health or Health Connect, head over to the Stelo app.
  8. Select Settings
  9. Select Connections.
  10. Select Apple Health or Health Connect; you’ll then be prompted to open your phone settings.
  11. Open your phone settings and navigate to your native health app.
  12. Navigate to Data access or Privacy, depending on your app.
  13. Select Stelo.
  14. Toggle ON Blood Glucose to allow the Stelo app to write data to the Levels app.
  15. Once complete, glucose data will begin streaming into Levels on a 3-hour delay. The delay is a result of the timing of the sync between the Stelo app and Apple Health. Apple Health receives glucose data from Stelo every 3 hours.
