How to Compare Meal Scores

Comparing Meal Scores helps you visualize how your glucose responded across two or more meals.

Compare Meal Scores from your timeline

  1. Select the My Data tab.
  2. Scroll down to All data, then select Search all logs.
  3. Select the two-arrow icon (top right).
  4. Select the meals you want to compare.
  5. Select Compare.

On the Compare Zones screen, you’ll see the glucose response for the items you selected.

What’s the difference between the Absolute and Relative graphs?

Relative

Relative graphs set the baseline for both items to zero. Both lines start at “0” mg/dL so you can compare the change over time.

Absolute

Absolute graphs show the actual glucose values during that time. You can see your starting glucose level and the glucose value at the peak.

Why you might want to compare Meal Scores

Comparing responses can help you see how the same meal or ingredient performs in different situations, such as:

  • Changing the order of the meal to try fat, fiber, and protein first
  • Adding exercise like a post-meal walk
  • Trying the same meal at different times of day
  • Trying the same meal with different amounts of sleep the night prior
