Answer:
What insurance plans does Season accept? Season Health accepts most major health insurance plans, including BlueCross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, and also Medicare and Medicaid in select states.
How does insurance coverage work? 95% of Season Health patients who are in-network with Season Health can meet with a registered dietitian as a covered benefit through their insurance plan.
- Important Notes ⚠️:
- You may still have a copay, coinsurance, or deductible that you need to meet depending on the details of your specific insurance plan, even if you are eligible for coverage and in-network.
- You are responsible for staying up to date on notifications regarding copays, coinsurance, and deductibles that Season alerts you of prior to the appointment, as well as the payment of these after the appointment.
- If your insurance denies your claim or you are charged an unexpected out-of-pocket expense after the appointment, Season will cover these expenses for any past visits.
How do I find out if I'm eligible for coverage? The quickest way to find out if you can receive covered care through Season Health is by filling out their virtual intake form. To fill out the form:
- Open the Levels app
- Select the More tab on the bottom right of the Today screen
- Select Dietitian at the top of the screen
- Select Get Started
- After submitting the intake form on our website, Season's insurance eligibility team will reach out to you within 5-7 business days to confirm your benefits and any copays or deductibles, as applicable, for your plan.
What if Season isn't covered by my insurance? If your insurance does not cover Season, can still schedule an appointment with a Season dietitian as a self-pay patient. The initial session is $225 and sessions after that are $75
