How to Handle Stelo Sync Issues & Data Gaps
If your glucose data isn’t showing up in the Levels app, try these steps to get things syncing again.
Quick checks
Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on, and keep your phone within 30 feet of your biosensor.
App permissions: In your phone settings, confirm the Levels app has the permissions it needs (including Bluetooth and location, if prompted by your device).
Internet connection: The Levels app needs WiFi or cellular data to sync.
Try this first
- Force close the Levels app, then reopen it.
- Pull down to refresh.
- Wait 5 to 10 minutes.
If you still don’t see data, restart your phone.
About data gaps
Stelo biosensors can store up to 24 hours of data. If your phone loses connection, reconnect within 24 hours so Stelo can sync the stored readings to the Stelo app and then to Levels.
You may see gaps if:
- Your phone was out of range (more than 30 feet away)
- Bluetooth was turned off
- Your phone was powered off
- You used airplane mode
After you reconnect, pull down on the Today page in the Levels app to trigger a refresh.
Battery saver issues
Battery optimization can block Bluetooth connections.
iPhone: Turn off Low Power Mode and allow the Levels app to run in the background.
Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Levels → Battery and select “Unrestricted.”
Check your biosensor status
Make sure your biosensor shows as active and hasn’t expired. If you see “Session ended early,” you will need a replacement.
Still stuck?
- Update the Levels app to the latest version.
- Update your phone’s operating system.
- Turn on automatic date and time in your phone settings.
