Why is real-time data disconnected for Dexcom G7 devices

December 15, 2025

The Levels Research Program is complete as of December 15, and real-time glucose data has been disconnected for Dexcom G7 devices, as mentioned in our previous study termination notification emails this year. Don't worry – you have simple options to keep tracking your glucose data seamlessly through Levels!

Your options for continuously monitoring glucose

  • 🔄 Switch to Stelo (recommended): The easiest transition with the same continuous glucose monitoring experience, available directly through your Levels app.
    • How to buy Stelo: Head to the Shop page of your member portal to start a new subscription.
  • 📱 Connect an existing CGM: Keep using any personal Dexcom G7 devices by connecting through Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
    • Note: This pathway will have a 3-hour delay, as the G7 app does not write to Apple Health or Health Connect in real-time.

Next steps for Levels research

  • Study devices cannot be used outside of a research environment. Once the study concludes on December 15, 2025, please dispose of any unused Levels-provided Dexcom G7 sensors in a regular trash can. Please note that we’re unable to provide refunds for unused or expired sensors, as is outlined in our refunds and replacement policies.
  • There will be research published from the findings of this study. However, the timing of publication is outside of our control. We encourage you to follow our blog and newsletter where we will share updates when the research becomes available.
