We're excited to announce the rollout of a highly requested feature designed to give you greater control over your glucose data: the ability to ignore inaccurate glucose readings or readings related to things like sauna, hot showers, etc.

This article will guide you through the steps on how to ignore glucose readings in our app. Ignoring glucose readings can be helpful in certain situations, such as when you experience a volatile calibration period or a temporary spike due to external factors like sauna exposure or a hot shower.
Why Ignore Glucose Readings?
There are several reasons why you might want to ignore a glucose reading:
- Calibration period: From time to time, you may experience a more volatile calibration period while the sensor is warming up.
- External Factors: Factors like sauna, a stressful event, illness, or medication can cause temporary spikes or drops in glucose levels.
- Data Accuracy: You may want to exclude readings that don't accurately reflect your typical glucose patterns.
How It Works
Our new ignore glucose feature offers flexibility and control. You can easily select specific date and time ranges to exclude from your glucose data. This allows you to focus on the most relevant information for tracking your health trends and making informed decisions.

Method 1: Ignoring Glucose Through Lifestyle Logs
1. Access Lifestyle Logs: Tap the green plus button (+) on your app's main screen to access the lifestyle log feature. If you don't see this option, tap on “Other Log Types” to expand the menu and reveal the Lifestyle log option.
2. Select the Range: Choose the specific date and time range for which you want to ignore glucose readings.
3. Ignore Glucose: Check the "Ignore glucose?" box.
4. Confirm: Once you've selected the desired range, your glucose readings within that timeframe will be ignored.
Method 2: Ignoring Glucose Using the + Button in the Glucose Chart
1. Access Glucose Chart: Navigate to your glucose chart and tap on the time you'd like to start ignoring glucose. Then, tap on the smaller plus button (+) that will be displayed on the chart.
2. Select Ignore Glucose Range: Choose the "Ignored glucose range" option.
3. Select Range: Confirm the start and end times for the ignored glucose range.
Method 3: Using the Ignore Glucose Manager
1. Access the Ignore Glucose Manager: Tap the three-dot icon located at the top of your glucose chart and select the "Ignore Glucose" option from the menu.
2. Tap the Plus Button: Tap the plus button to add a new ignored glucose range.
3. Select the Range: Choose the start and end times for the range you want to ignore.
Where is Ignored Glucose Displayed?
You can view ignored glucose ranges in the following locations:
- Ignore Glucose Management Screen: This screen provides an overview of all ignored glucose ranges
- Glucose Chart: Ignored glucose ranges will be visually indicated on the glucose chart.
- Lifestyle Logs: Ignored glucose ranges will be displayed on the horizontal timeline within lifestyle logs.
