About Meal Scores
Meal Scores help you understand how your glucose responded after a meal, and where to find insights and recommendations in the Levels app.
What is a Meal Score?
- If you have a Stelo biosensor or a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) applied and sharing data with your Levels app, you can see variations in your glucose levels throughout the day.
- When you log a meal, Levels creates a two-hour Glucose Response window related to that meal, and to other logs created within proximity of each other.
- Meal Scores summarize that response so you can compare meals and learn what works best for you.
How to view your Meal Score details
- On your Today page, scroll down to your Timeline.
- Tap a meal in the Timeline.
- On the next screen, select the response label (for example: stable, gentle rise, moderate, or big spike).
- Tap each of the three key metrics.
- Glucose Increase: How high glucose rose
- Glucose Slope: How quickly it went up
- Area Under the Curve: How long it stayed elevated before returning to baseline
- Note the color-coding.
- Green: Stable response
- Yellow: Moderate rise
- Pink: Significant spike
