What Health and Nutrition Data Levels Tracks
Levels tracks a variety of health and nutrition data to help you understand how your daily choices affect your metabolic health. This article covers what data the Levels app displays, where to find it, and what types of data are not currently tracked.
Glucose data
When you have a Stelo biosensor or compatible continuous glucose monitor (CGM) connected to the Levels app, you can view:
- Glucose levels on your Timeline and glucose graph
- Glucose trends throughout the day, week, and over time
- Glucose Response scores (meal scores, 0 to 10) that show how your glucose responded after a logged meal
- Stability Score (60 to 100) that reflects how stable your glucose was over 24 hours
- Glucose spikes flagged when your glucose exceeds 109 mg/dL with a rise of 30 mg/dL or more
For a full breakdown of how scores and glucose metrics work, see How Levels Scores and Glucose Metrics Work.
Macronutrient data (from food logging)
When you log a meal in the Levels app, the app displays macronutrient information for that meal, including:
- Calories
- Protein
- Carbohydrates (total and net carbs)
- Fat (total and saturated fat)
- Fiber
- Sugar
You can view a macronutrient summary for each day on your Timeline. Programs and Habit Loops use these macronutrients to set daily targets. For more on Programs, see How to Use Levels Programs.
Activity and lifestyle data
Levels can display activity and lifestyle data imported from Apple Health or Android Health Connect, including:
- Exercise and workouts (logged manually or synced from connected apps)
- Steps
- Heart rate
- Sleep
- Weight
- Water
- Mindful time
For details on connecting health data, see How to Sync Your Health Data with Levels.
Lab and biomarker data
With a Levels lab panel or uploaded bloodwork, you can view biomarker results in the app, including markers related to metabolic health, heart health, and more. For details on labs, see the Labs & Nutritionist section of our support center.
What Levels does not currently track
Levels focuses on macronutrients and glucose, so detailed micronutrient tracking is not available in the app at this time. This includes:
- Sodium
- Potassium
- Cholesterol (dietary)
- Individual vitamins (such as Vitamin D, B12, or iron from food)
- Other minerals (such as calcium, magnesium, or zinc from food)
If micronutrient tracking is a priority for you, many members use a dedicated nutrition tracker alongside Levels for that level of detail.
